Industries and Applications

Industrial & Controls Enclosures

For industrial applications, we focus on plastic enclosures for controls, sensors, and automation equipment. Typical projects include housings for control panels, distributed I/O, condition monitoring, and small industrial IoT devices that must withstand dust, washdown, and rough handling.

We help customers translate IP/NEMA requirements into robust enclosure designs, balancing environmental protection, manufacturability, and ease of assembly.

IoT & Consumer Connected Device Enclosures

For IoT and connected consumer applications, we design plastic housings that balance aesthetics, ergonomics, and durability. Use cases include connected sports equipment, smart home devices, small appliances, and mobile accessories where electronics, batteries, and antennas all have to coexist in a compact enclosure.

We focus on enclosure design that looks good in the user’s environment, is practical to mold and assemble, and can handle realistic drops, moisture, and cleaning.

Medical & Wellness Device Enclosures

In the medical and wellness space, Boah Engineering supports enclosures for diagnostic, monitoring, and therapy devices that must be robust, cleanable, and compliant with demanding standards. Our background in regulated medical device development (including design verification, risk management per ISO 14971, and DHF remediation) informs how we design housings for these products.

We focus on plastic enclosures that withstand cleaning agents and repeated handling while protecting sensitive electronics and supporting your regulatory and documentation needs.

Ruggedized Enclosures for Defense & Field Sensors

Boah Engineering has partnered with military contractors to develop ruggedized housings for chemical and biological detection systems adhering to MIL standards. Our role has included concept development, enclosure engineering, and support for prototype builds and testing.

This experience with harsh-environment requirements informs how we design plastic enclosures for any product that must survive drops, vibration, temperature extremes, and contamination in the field.
